Fever directors strive to be good stewards of the money we collect in the form of fees from our participating families, sponsorships, and charitable donations from our loyal supporters. The directors spend a great deal of time creating our budget and ensuring the money collected is used wisely, cutting out unnecessary expenses wherever possible. Because of this, Fever is one of the least expensive club sports programs or enrichment activities you can find for your child. We are proud of the reputation we have earned for being a good value for our participating families.
We have included some frequently asked questions we receive from families new to the Fever organization and/or club sports.
There are several factors that affect the Fever budget including:
When we create our budget each season, we try to publish the highest fee a family would be asked to pay. In the event additional teams are formed, or one of our expenses is less than we budgeted, Fever may decrease the fees charged to our participants. We will make every attempt to not exceed published costs.
The fees that are charged go to cover:
Fever works very hard to minimize administrative overhead and will negotiate lower tournament and/or league entry fees when possible.
Outside of our players and their families, our coaches are the most important part of our organization. In youth sports, one of the most difficult challenges is finding great coaches. Furthermore, our coaches spend significant time coaching teams and away from family. Although we are unable to to pay our coaches significant salaries, we feel it is important to compensate them for their time and effort.
Families can pay all of the Fever fees in one payment or pay fees in installments. Our online payment system can automatically charge your credit card. We will cover the details of our payment plans with families who are invited to participate on a Fever team.
Fever has offered several fundraisers in previous seasons and will continue to offer fundraisers going forward. We can offer guidance to individuals and teams looking for ways to offset some of the costs of playing competitive basketball.
Fever offers partial scholarships to families who demonstrate financial need. Please contact our office if you would like to learn more about our scholarship opportunities.
Rocky Mountain Youth Sports, parent organization to Rocky Mountain Fever, is a 501c3 organization. All fees paid to the Fever go towards programs, equipment, and administrative overhead. Charitable donations to our organization are tax deductible as allowed by law.
